You’ve probably heard a saying in the labor movement, “The best way to avoid a strike is to prepare for one!” We’re going to put those words into action!

Following up on our 2023 Bargaining Summit, Oregon AFSCME is hosting a webinar for union members to learn about best practices for preparing your local for a strike on Thursday, March 7, at 6:30PM.

This webinar will include a speakers panel of AFSCME local leaders who have planned or carried out a strike in the past couple years. We will also provide a basic overview of the steps local leaders and members need to take to prepare for and finish a successful strike should we reach that point.
